We are the kind of women who daydream about writing in tattered notebooks on the rocks next to gently lapping water. Our lives are the inspiration for our art and we thrive in slow mornings.

Body of words is about connecting and softening to our physical bodies and creating generous space to write in ways we didn’t know were possible. This summer programme will be predominantly held on Zoom, but will include swimming rituals to be done together (in London) or on your own (out of London).

Annie and Caroline created the vision together but will pass the teaching baton between them to bring their different flavours of creative magic to the group. We are setting out to expand our community of people who want spacious lives where creativity thrives and pleasure is prioritised.

Curious?

Details of each week will be kept as a surprise, but here’s a few need to knows:

  • No writing experience is required

  • Sessions will not be recorded to honour the privacy of the group, but if there are sessions you can’t make we are happy to share the prompts.

  • All commitment dates & details are above, put them in your diary now.

  • You will not be pressured to share, just gently encouraged :)

  • Everyone is welcome

“I can’t help wondering how many ways water shapes the body, how the body shapes desire, how desire moves water, how water stirs colour, how thought rises from land, how wind polishes thought, how spirit shapes matter, how a stream that carves through rock is shaped by rock.” - Gretel Ehrlich, Islands, the Universe, Home
